In today’s world, it’s hard to know who to talk to. Sometimes you have to talk with so many people that you’re not sure whether it’s worth it.
Trust me. It’s worth it.
It’s also important to vet whom you should talk to.
Because, sometimes it’s not worth it.
Not to sound hypocritical here, but while getting to know people is a wonderful gift, not everyone is as giving or as kind as you, or has the same good intentions.
Learn what questions to ask in advance to vet whom you should spend time with. And please don’t worry if you have to hurt someone’s feelings and decline an invitation. It’s okay to say “no.”
Everyone deserves a few minutes. Everyone deserves a “hello.” But beyond that, it’s up to you. If you choose to talk more, then give it your all. If you choose to decline, be okay with your decision. Just be mindful of other’s feelings.
