Here’s a conundrum. I’ve got a lot a work ahead, but the sun is calling me outside.
It’s that time of year when we want to ditch our office work and become a lifeguard. Lucky are those who get to be outside whenever they feel like it.
But we’ve got to remember they have rainy days too.
I tried to figure out how I can blend both when much of my work is via laptop. In the sun, that doesn’t work so well. So, being mindful of my needs, I take frequent sunshine breaks. These may include walks, a coffee outside or just sitting quietly in nature and meditating for a few moments.
Everything has changed since I’ve adopted these habits.
The sunshine is no longer killing my productivity but making me work harder. It’s all about changing perspective and keeping my eyes on my goals. If I quit every day at noon, I’d lose my business. BUT that doesn’t mean I can’t be more productive in my work time so I have more time in the sun.
Personal Challenge: How can you get out in the sun and still stay productive now that summer is here?
