We all have excuses. We are all not living up to our full potential. These are hard truths, but truths nonetheless.
There’s not enough time.
I don’t know where to start.
I’m not sure what my goals are.
I don’t have enough money.
We have all used these excuses from time to time. I know that I have. Perhaps, even today.
But we all seem to want more, including career happiness.
What we fail to prioritize is that where there’s a will there’s a way. Coaching helps us get past the excuses and on to our goals.
My recent session with my coach was so very enlightening. If someone was observing they might have thought we were arguing. I laughed at our intensity but it in fact was my coach pushing me and me pushing back with excuses.
Finally, there was a break through—an “ah ha” moment where I realized what I needed to do was out of my comfort zone. But since I definitely have the will, thanks to my coach, I now see the way.
What about you?
